Fire doors in main vertical zone bulkheads, galley boundaries and stairway enclosures, other than power operated watertight doors and those which are normally locked, shall satisfy the following requirements: the approximate time of closure for hinged fire doors shall be no more than 40 s and no less than 10 s from the beginning of their movement with the ship in the upright position. PSCO observed fire doors 622, 708 and 817 did not latch. Fire door 609 closed too fast in 04 seconds. Fire door MV7485(136) next to the galley was not fully closing. 74 SOLAS 01 II-2/30.4.2

Changes to the ships Lifesaving Appliances Plan, Fire Control Plan,and Structural Fire Protection Plan were made when the vessel was in "wet dock" from April 2018 to July 2018. These changes have not been approved by class. Due to plans not being approved, no review has been done by MSC. 74 SOLAS (14) I/11(b) 46 CFR 71.65-10
