The angular position of the rudder shall be recognizable in the steering gear compartment. PSCO observed an approximate 5 to 6 degree difference between bridge rudder angle indicator and steering gear indicator(electronic). Mechanical indicator position cannot be read due to wearing of the numbers. SOLAS74(am), 2004, II-I/20.II.2
