The operator found what appeared to be a fractured weld in the port hull outboard 18" fwd of the 1/2 frame, 2nd stringer fro the bottom. Welder discovered a larger fracture of the plate. Insert bow plate 18" X 18" X 3/16" in way of fractured sideshell plate.
