2550-Maintenance of shipping equipment-PSCO found a small square block of wood in the quick closing valve for the ME and GE fuel service tank. Attached to the block of wood was a small lanyard which was secured to the piping. 2nd A/E stated the block of wood was placed in the quick closing valve to prevent it from closing and causing a black out. SOLAS 74 (2014) XI-1/4 30a.

0650-Lifebuoys-PSCO observed both lifebuoys on the port and starboard bridge wings installed in a quick release arrangement and provided with self-activated smoke signal and self-igniting light were 3kg. SOLAS 74 (am) III/34 17a.
