Oil filtering equipment referred to in paragraph 2 of this regulation shall comply with paragraph 6 of this regulation. In addition, it shall be provided with alarm arrangements to indicate when this level cannot be maintained. The system shall also be provided with arrangements to ensure that any discharge of oily mixtures is automatically stopped when the oil content of the effluent exceeds 15 parts per million. In considering the design of such equipment and approvals, the Administration shall have regard to the specification recommended by the Organization. PSCO observed on 30JUN2024, ,20APR2024 10MAR2024, the vessel crew recorded that the vessel discharged bilge water through the vessel's Oily Water Separator (OWS) with an average discharge rate of 2.80, 2.47. and 3.76 respectively exceeding the OWS maximum through put of 2.0 cubic meters as stated in the vessel's IOPP. Resolution: Class NK subitted a report attesting that the vessel crew was incorrectly loggin the certain tank levels when transferring oily water to OWS system. Class report is attached.

During the inbound transit, the vessel experienced a loss of propulsion when dead slow aster position was ordered. Classification society is to attest to the proper operation of main engine prior to departure from port. SOLAS 04 II-1/31.1. 17ac
