Vessels IGG system experienced several internal communication errors and was unable to be satisfactorily tested. Prove proper operation of the IGG and associated alarms/shutdowns to the satisfaction of the attending RO (ABS)and prior to cargo operations.

Power enough to create spark when grounded; tests simulating human impedance fm hook to deck = approx 150mAmps @ 10 watts. At US Oil modify crane ops using nylon straps to ensure hook stays out of cargo envelope as defined in 46 CFR 111.105-31(l). Requirement is fleet wide.
