Also, on deck four, there were several areas with maintenance equipement and boxes of supplies preventing crew from having access to means of escape.

The manually operated call point on deck 7, number 31 105, was tested and received no visual or audible signal at the control panel or at the unit. After failure of the testing unit, crewmember broke the glass on the manually operated call point, still no audible or visual was shown on the control panel or on the unit.

Resolution: Crew electricians were able to identify that the navigation bridge had a fault via the alarm log. Once the fault was corrected, the smoke detectors in the incinerator space were tested again and the navigation bridge received audible notification.
