Main and auxiliary machinery essential for the propulsion and safety of the ship shall be provided with effective means for its operation and control. The speed, direction of the thrust and, if applicable, the pitch of the propeller shall be fully controllable from the navigation bridge under all sailing conditions, including maneuvering. It was reported by the pilot on board the vessel on March 21 2018 that the vessel had lost control of the main engines from the navigation bridge and engine control room. Class surveyor verified this condition of the vessel and gave the recommendation to let the vessel sail to next port to make repairs. Class placed a condition on the vessel to make repairs prior to leaving next port. Next port of call scheduled is Vancouver, Canada.

0750-Fire Fighting Appliances-The steering gear compartments shall be as far as practicable separated from machinery spaces, and fire integrity of bulkheads of tankers shall be as prescribed in table 9.7.

1099 - Alarms and Signals - Vessl is required to have high level and overfill protection for each cargo tank. Vessel high level and overfill alarm for 4 P is not operational. Vessel has notified the Company and has the required parts on order. Vessel can't load any cargo into 4P until this alarm system is operationally tested. 46CFR39.20-7(b)(2)&(3) 15a

The vessel ODME is not operational. The vessel is required to repair or replace the ODME to the satisfaction of the certificate issuing authority.

The vessel incinerator is not operational. The vessel is required to repair/replace the incinerator to the satisfaction of the certificate issuing authority or remove the incinerator endorsement from the IOPP certificate.

The vessel free fall lifeboat has not been launched since April 2007. The vessel is not in accordance with Flag State waiver of 12months. The vessel is required to launch the free fall lifeboat with assigned operating crew aboard and maneuver the lifeboat in the water

Vapor collection system piping does not meet the requirement of 46CFR39.02: Middle yellow hands are greater than 0.8 meters (2.6 feet) and Port side forward manifold stud is missing.

Replace broken sight glass on the inert gas generator.

Remove three extra loadline markings as per international loadline certificate.
