Vessel's CAA allows carriage of toxic cargoes with special requirements listed in 46 CFR 151.50-5. When carriage of toxic cargoes is permitted, gravity type cargo tanks shall be fitted with an approved pressure-vacuum relief valve of not less than 2 1/2-inch size, which shall be set at a pressure of not less than 3 pounds per square inch gauge, but not in excess of the design pressure of the tank. Pressure-vacuum valve on vessel had pressure setting of 2.0 psig. Vessel is prohibited from carrying any toxic cargo with special requirements mandated by 46 CFR 151.50-5.
