Vsl reported leaking F/O coming from stbd side of ship. Vsl identified an approx 6" horizontal crack that intersects a 1" vertical crack in hull plating. Cracks are located in HFO tank 1.08 between frames 60 and 70. A temp patch was installed by vsl crew to stop the immediate fuel oil discharge. Vsl is to provide repair proposal to the satisfaction of CG and class prior to any repair ops.
