It shall be the duty of the owner, master, or person in charge to see that the vessel's firefighting equipment is at all times ready for use and that all such equipment required by the regulations in this subchapter is provided, maintained, and replaced as indicated. Fire extinguisher at crane pedestal has rusted out bottom and damaged hose from improper stowage. Fire extinguisher hose at station 13 is damaged. Both not in ready for use condition.

All marine engineering details such as piping, valves, fittings, boilers, pressure vessels, etc., and their appurtenances installed on the vessel, shall be designed, constructed, and installed in accordance with the provisions of subchapter F (Marine Engineering) of this chapter. Each valve must close with a right-hand (clockwise) motion of the handwheel or operating lever as seen by one facing the end of the valve stem. Machinery space openings in position 1 or 2 shall be properly framed and efficiently enclosed by steel casings of ample strength. Access openings in such casings shall be fitted with doors complying with the requirements of 42.15-10(a). Byfold watertight door has gaps at top and bottom of connection point; make watertight. 46 CFR 42.15-35

All marine engineering details such as piping, valves, fittings and their appurtenances installed on the vessel shall be designed, constructed, and installed in accordance with the provisions of Subchapter F of this chapter. There is a valve on the hot water tank that needs to be piped to the bilge. 46 CFR 96.03-1(a) 46 CFR 56.50-25

The installation of all systems of an electrical engineering or interior communications nature together with the details of design, construction, and installation shall be in accordance with the requirements of subchapter J. Systems of this type include general alarm systems. The general alarm did not function as designed under ships power or emergency power. 46CFR96.05-1(a)

Annual inspection. Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date, except as required in paragraph (b) of this section. Vessel notified USCG that they were operating outside of 3 month window for annual inspection. Directed vessel to cease operation immediately until annual inspection is complete. Vessel must complete satisfactory inspection prior to conducting cargo operations.

The requirements of 58.10-5(a), (c) and (d) shall apply to diesel engine installations. Exhaust pipe installations must conform to the requirements of ABYC P-1 and part 1, section 23 of NFPA 302 (both incorporated by reference; see 46 CFR 58.03-1). Protective guards, jacketing or covers shall be provided wherever persons or gear might come in contact with the exhaust system where the temperature exceeds 200°F(93°C). There must be ground detection for each: electric propulsion system, ship's service power system, and lighting system; The 240 volt breaker panel in the engine room aft of ship's office showed a ground fault of 6 amps; Vessel shall show proof that the ground fault has been troubleshot, found, and corrected IAW 46 CFR 111.05-21 NLT 15SEP20; To the satisfaction of the OCMI.

The inspector will determine if the tests and inspections required by 97.15-60 of this subchapter have been conducted; Fire Extinguisher #3 did not have its annual inspection by a certified servicing agency; Ensure fire extinguishers are serviced IAW 46 CFR 91.25-20; To the satisfaction of the OCMI.

REPAIR FUEL LEAK ON #2 AUXILIARY GENERATOR, AS ORIGINAL.

REPAIR LEAK ON OIL DRAIN LINE FOR TURBOCHARGER ON #1 AUXILIARY GENERATOR, AS ORIGINAL.

REPAIR LEAKS ON EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON #1 AND #2 PRIME MOVERS FOR DREDGE PUMPS.

Repair emergency lighting in aft engine room.

Repair engine alarm in aft engine room.

Show evidence of lifesaving equipment maintenance records.

Provide proof or enrollment in and compliance with drug and alcohol testing program.

Provide appropriate number of line throwing device and charges.

Provide new first aid kit.

Repair emergency lighting in forward engine room.

Auxilary generator was removed for servicing at time of inspection. Rep will call for CGMI to witness the operation of generator and over speed of prime mover when work is complete.

All e-lights not working due to either dead batteries or broken lights, proper operation must be proved to CGMI.

Repair or replace forward watertight door and starboard aft watertight door. Check hinges, pins, gaskets, and loose dogs and ensure proper operation. (All watertight doors)

Install pressure gages on main deck air receivers.

Bench test relief valves on main deck air receivers to prove proper operation or replace with new relief valves.

Overspeed outboard (main) generator and test low lube oil shutdown

Post donning instructions for life jackets where life jackets are stowed.

Main Deck Air Receiver tests have not been conducted as required, make ready for internal inspection to the satisfaction of the attending USCG Marine Inspector.

Aft starboard side ring buoy missing retroreflective tape, replace buoy and/or retape buoy to the satisfaction of the attending USCG Marine Inspector

Stanchion and diagonal stiffener in middle tank centerline aft of house damaged and required renewal. Bilge brackets in this and adjacent spaces damaged and require renewal. Damage appears to be due to grounding in past.

The painter was not permanently attached to the weak link.

Life line was not deployable as stowed in PVC piping.

Air supply hose needed chaffing gear on the port main engine.

Emergency lighting in the engine room had dead batteries.

Several lengths of flexible fuel hose exceed the 30-inch max length requirement.

Manual launching of inflatable liferaft from stowed location requires it to be lifted over 1 foot.
