If your vessel is not operated on international voyages and does not meet the conditions in paragraph (d) of this section, it must undergo a drydock and internal structural examination as follows unless it has been approved to undergo an underwater survey (UWILD) per § 176.615 of this part: A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years; and(2) A vessel that is exposed to salt water not more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural examination at least once every five years.

18299 - An individual may not be engaged or employed, including self-employment, on a vessel in a position as master, operator, or person in charge for which a credential is required by law or regulation unless all crewmembers covered by this section are subject to the random testing requirements of this section. The vessel operator could not produce a current contract for drug testing. 46 CFR 16.230(k)

01104 - Every vessel subject to Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must have a detailed inspection of the radio installation by an FCC-licensed technician in accordance with § 80.59 once every five years. If the ship passes the inspection, the technician will issue a Communications Act Safety Radiotelephony Certificate. The vessel's Safety Radio Certificate was expired. 47 CFR 80.903

13199 - Shutoff valves, installed so as to close against the fuel flow, must be fitted in the fuel supply lines. The handle to the shutoff valve at the tank must be located so that the operator does not have to reach more than 12 inches into the space. The fuel shutoff valves are more than 12 inches reach into the space. 46 CFR 182.455(b)(4)

Each floating waterlight must be approved in accordance with subchapter Q of this chapter. Waterlight battery affixed to ring buoy and life float were of improper type/expired. Replace each with approved-type waterlight batteries. 46 CFR 180.71(d)(1) 46 CFR 180.175(f)(4)

Portable fire extinguishers must be inspected and maintained in accordance with NFPA 10. Vessel's 1-A:10-B:C extinguisher had not received annual servicing for 2021. 46 CFR 176.810(b)(1)

Engine exhaust pipes must be double clamped where practicable. MI observed loosened clamp on engine exhaust pipe leading to STBD muffler. 46 CFR 182.430(e)

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed to protect against fire caused by electrical equipment or electrical shock. Electrical wiring observed in vessel's forward bilge during inspection. 46 CFR 183.200(b)

All machinery essential to the routine operation of the vessel including generators shall be ready for inspection. Mounts under generator wasted at time of inspection. Replace in kind. 46 CFR 176.804(c)

Fire Boy over ride switch missing. Install and prove proper operation.

Aft engine compartment bilge switch not operating in the automatic mode.
