Port/STBD lifeboat found with build up of carbon monoxide rendering atmospheric condition unsafe. 1) Ship will develop procedures for atmospheric testing for lifeboats to ensure personnel safety to the satisfaction of the flag state. (17abc) 74 SOLAS (20) III/20.2

Resolution: Received class report attesting to root cause of carbon monoxide and to battery arrangement. Identified root cause of carbon monoxide build up as damaged seals for battery compartments. Battery seals and battery arrangement found satisfactory.
