The condition of the ship... PSCO found that the fiberglass doors located on Deck 12 Port and Starboard Sides and Deck 11 Port Side have cracks in the hinges of the door side. The cracks do not interfere with the doors weathertight integrity but significantly cracked through posing as a risk of failure. SOLAS 2004 Cons. CH-I/11. 50ac

At least two widely seperated and ready means of escape shall be provided from all spaces or groups of spaces. The locking mechanism on door 8.5 on Deck 8 Port Side was frozen and unable to operate properly. Frozen door interfered with the second means of escape from accomodation spacews on deck 8.

Resolution: Ships crew were able to fix the frozen lock thus re-establishing two means of escape in the accomodation spaces of Deck 8.
