Tankers shall be equipped with at least one portable instrument for measuring oxygen and one for measuring flammable vapor concentrations, together with a sufficient set of spares. Suitable means shall be provided for the calibration of such instruments. One of the portable gas detectors is not operable and the other is not able to be calibrated.

Crew could no prove proper operation of the oil discharge monitoring system under simulation. Prior to carrying cargorequiring the use of the ODM system, prove proper operation to the satisfaction of the CG.
