74SOLAS(20)VII/10.1 IBC Code 10.1.2.1 A chemical tanker shall comply with the requirements of the interntional bulk chemical code. Electrical installations shall be such as to minimize the risk of fire and explosion from flammable products. PSCO observed all cargo transfer line pressure sensors and their enclosures in various states of disrepair including wire connections severed or loose and chaffed in their fittings. Boxes enclosing pressure sensors and their connections are unsealed with some pooling water.
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 24 March 2024
Resolution: Vessel disabled system cutting electrical power to junction boxes and pump discharge pressure sensors. Utilized proper tag out procedures and verified pump discharge pressure at minfolds fully operational. Class report attached.

Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. Starboard side lifeboat/rescue boat near escape hatch top hinge has caused fiberglass to be weathered where the hatch mounts to the boat.
