For tankers of 20,000 tonnes deadweight and upwards constructed on or after 1 July 2002 but before 1 January 2016 the protection of the cargo tanks shall be achieved by a fixed inert gas system in accordance with the requirements if the Fire Systems Safety Code. PSCO observed IGG unable to power on. No alarms or shutdowns of the system were able to be tested. 74 SOLAS (14) II-2/5.5.1.1

Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure

Resolution: Submitted class report attesting correction and operation of IGG system.
