No extensive repairs to the hull or machinery which affect the safety of a vessel shall be made without the knowledge of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection. Vessel reported damage to the port bow rake compromising the watertight integrity of the barge. Bow rake has large inset and puncture which will require permanent repair to satisfaction of CG. Barge is permitted to transit unloaded as detailed in the provided transit plan dated 12/27/24. Repairs are to be made to satisfaction of Sector Houston-Galveston OCMI office. Barge is not permitted to operate/conduct cargo until this 835 is cleared by the CG. 46 CFR 32.10-25
