The arrangement of the retroreflective material applied after March 11, 1996, must be as specified by IMO Resolution A.658(16). Each ring life buoy on a vessel must: Be approved in accordance with § 160.050 in subchapter Q of this chapter, or other standard specified by the Commandant, including, but not limited to, approval series 160.150. Noticed several ring buoys with damaged SOLAS tape. Replace as need. The ring buoy on the bridge wing needs a new lifeline; currently the one on it is falling apart. Also, one of the ring buoys near the stern is missing a clip and therefore the grab line is not in 4 equidistant segments.
