Vessel suffered unintended strike of pier on the starboard side aft in way of frames 22-30. Significant side shell damage, bent frames, and a cracked bracket were noted. Class is to attest to structural suitability of the damaged area and all associated members. ILLC 66 I/1.

Resolved 5 March 2008
Resolution: Received class report from class (NKK) attesting to damage of frames and side shell as a result of allision with pier. Class has indicated that damaged area shall be permanently repaired no later than the upcoming docking survey due on 14 Feb 2010.

Aft steering has flammable liquids being stored in 55 Gal drums. Space has fire detection, but no fire suppression system installed. Have class review fire safety plan and approve a new location or have a fire extinguishing arrangement installed that is approved by administration.

Resolved 16 March 2006
Resolution: Drums were moved to Engineroom where they had a fixed detection and suppression system.
