0700- Machinery...shall be of design and adequate construction for the service...shall be so installed and protected as to reduce...danger to persons on board. 3 pipes in the engine room have inadequate insulation and several piping flanges appear to be deteriorated in terms of gaskets and fasteners. A nut and bolt was missing from a port/aft MDE connection and several others were not tightened.
