Observed water egressing onto the deck from the port rudder post, water was entering into the aft void space of the engine room potentially creating a flood risk. Must provide this office with a plan for repair subject to OCMI approval.

Resolution: Vessel operator vacumed and cleaned out aft void space of water, could not find any evidence of the rudder shaft seal leaking into the engine room spaces. Cleared def and added a special note recommending replacement of the rudde seal at the next drydock

Each watertight door must be marked on both sides "WATERTIGHT DOOR KEEP CLOSED". Watertight doors were marked on exterior but not on the interior. Add appropriate markings to each door.
