Each incenerator subject to this paragraph shall be approved by the Administration taking into accout the standard specification for the shipboard incenerators developed by the organization. As per MEPC.76(40), incinerator walls are to be protected with insulated fire bricks. Insulated fire bricks on incenerator door were completely destroyed, and door gasket was missing. MARPOL Annex VI/16.6.1

Resolution: PSC HOU-GAL received a class survey from NKK attesting that the operation of the ship's incinerator is safe in its current condition after a new door gasket and fire protected bricks with insulation were installed by the ships crew.
