The arrangements shall ensure that the tightness can be maintained in any sea conditions and for this purpose tests for tightness shall be required at the initials urvey, and may be required at periodical surveys and at annual inspections or at more frequent intervals. PSCO detected air was leaking through hospital space weathertight door leading to exterior weather deck. PSCO conducted chalk test on the weathertight door, which failed, idicating a 10-12 inch gap. The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials or flammable liquids. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met. Means shall be provided to control the leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed fuel leaks on both the number one and number two auxiliary diesel generators. High pressure fuel pumps number one and four on the number two auxiliary diesel generator found leaking. Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report from NKK stating the deficiency was rectified. O-rings and gaskets on affected High Pressure Fuel Pumps were replaced and both Aux Engines were tested satisfactorily.
