Each cargo tank should automatically activate a shutoff valve in a manner which will both avoid excessive liquid pressure in the loading line and prevent the tank from becoming liquid full. PSCO observed an inoperable filling valve on the deck tank, #1 port and #2 STBD, when the high level/overfill alarm was activated.

Each cargo tank should be provided with at least two devices for indicating cargo temperatures, on to be place at the top of the tank. The PSCO found the local digital temperature gauge for TI-223 DTBD and TI-201 Port were missing digits making for unreadable temperature reading on cargo tank #1.

The PSCO found the flame proof connection boxes on cargo pump electric motors for #1 STBD and #3 port had be modified by installing sealing compound between the connector boxes mating surfaces. The mating surfaces are to be metal to metal to remain flame proof.SOLAS (as amended) VII/13, IGC 10.2.5.1

The PSCO found several water-spray heads that were blocked on partially blocked and a section of piping located above the booster pump with a hole size approximately 6 x 6 cm.
