The construction of doors and door frames in "A" class divisions, with the means of securing them when closed, shall provide resistance to fire as well as to the passage of smoke and flame equivalent to that of the bulkheads in which the doors are situated, this being determined in accordance with thte fire test procedures code.
PSCO found the "A-0" door entering into the nitrogen generator room missing gaskets.

Each tankship with a vapor collection system must be fitted with a pressure sensing device, located as close as practicable to the vessel vapor connection, that measures the pressure in the main vapor collection line, which has a high -pressure and low-pressure alarm that give an audible and a visible warning on the vessel where the cargo transfer is controlled.
PSCO observed crew unable to test high-pressure alarm on the main deck line.

0936-Steering-The main steering gear shall be capable of putting the rudder over from 35 degrees on one side to 35 degrees on the other side with the ship running at maximum ahead service speed. Pilot on board reported that steering gear was stuck in the hard starboard position while attempting to maneuver the vessel. Have class confirm steering is operable. SOLAS (09) II-1/29.3.2 60ac

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report from NKK stating the deficiency was rectified. NKK Surveyor conducted tests of the steering gear and found the system to be fully operational.
