Fire doors in galley boundaries shall satisfy the following requirements. The doors shall be self colosing and hold back hoots not subject to central control station release are prohibited. The self closing door in the galley was held open with half a bungee cord with hook and would not self close completely when hook was removed. 74SOLAS(2014) II-2/9.4.1.1.5.1 & .4

Every ship to which chapter I applies shall carry an appropriate protable atmosphere testing instrument. Suitable means shall be provided for the calibration of all such instruments. Both portanle atmosphere testing instruments on board require calibration within one day and calibration will not be conducted until 15MAY2018, as there is no calibration equipment on board. 74SOLAS(2014) XI-I/Reg. 7
