No electrical equipment shall be installed in any space where flammable mixtures are liable to collect including those on board tankers unless the Administration is satisfied that such equipment is of a type which will not ignite teh mixture concerned, appropriate to the space concerned, and appropriately certified for safe usage in the dusts, vapours, or gases likely to be encountered. PSCO observed both electric motors for the forward spring winch and breast winch heavily corroded. Current condition compromises the explosion proof properties of the motor. 74SOLAS (2004) II-1/45.10

2550- Maintenance of ship & equipment. One of the safety valves on the #2 boiler had a thread bolt sitting in a position rendering the safety valve effectively gagged. If pulled, the relief valve will not relieve the boiler. Last planned maintenance for boiler safety valves was conducted at dry-dock in July 2014. SOLAS 74 (2014) IX/5, ISM Code 10

Vessel uses a garbage storage room on upper deck which is not annotated in their Garbage Management Plan. the garbage storage room is an additional garbage collection area, outside of their other locations noted in the current plan.
