Received report from DNV that vessels steering gear motor no. 2 was found not operating properly when in automatic and full follow-up mode. The rudder was found hunting when the no. 2 motor was used in both the modes. The technician of the steering gear manufacturer attend the ship and determined that the PCB of the control unit is found faulty and needs to be replaced. CC due 25May08.

While the vessel was unloading product from the #2 port tank and de-ballasting the #1port ballast tank, a sheen was discovered upon the water. All cargo and ballast operations were stopped. The vessel reported the oil sheen to the proper authorities. Upon investigation a 14 inch (approximate) crack in the bulkhead between the #1 port ballast tank and the #1 port cargo tank was discovered.
