engines, PVC piping was used as crankcase ventilation
piping running from filter assembly and terminating in
goosenecks on the main deck. Oil residue was observed in
the gooseneck openings on the main deck, as well as
seeping from flexible hose connections at the deck
penetrations.

Port and Stbd side pressure vessels displayed corrosion and pitting behind the data plate beyond one-sixteenth inch corrosion allowance. Vessel shall replace both pressure vessels. 46 CFR 182.330

The light must be a floating waterlight approved under approval series 161.010 or other standard specified by the Commandant. 46 CFR 161.010 states each floating electric waterlight shall meet the requirements of ANSI/UL 1196. Two waterlights attached to the Stbd side lifefloats and one attached to the Port side lifefloat were missing the rubber gasket around the top of the waterlights that hold the metal clips into place. Without the metal clips held in place each waterlight is susceptible to water intrusion. Vessel shall replace rubber gaskets around waterlights previously mentioned above. 46 CFR 180.175(f)(4)
