For this purpose, fire-extinguishing appliances shall be readily available. PSCO observed pins in CO2 bottle valves, rendering the engine room fixed CO2 firefighting system inoperable. 74SOLAS(09) II-2/10.1.2

Where davit arms are recovered by power, safety devices shall be fitted which will automatically cut off the power before the davit arms reach the stops. Safety device on the starboard lifeboat davit found inoperable.
