PSCO OBSERVED ATTEMPTS BY THE SHIPS CREW TO TEST THE FIXED GAS DETECTION SYSTEM BY APPLYING A 35% LEL PROPANE SPAN GAS TO A SAMPLE POINT IN THE CARGO COMPRESSOR ROOM, WHICH RESULTED IN A READING OF OVER 60% LEL, VIA THE VCM LEL SENSOR WITHIN THE GAS DETECTION SYSTEM.
