The arrangement of the retro reflective material applied after March 11, 1996, must be as specified by IMO Resolution A.658(16). Replace retro tape on life ring.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit that meets the requirements in 46 CFR 199.175(b)(10) or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Replace all expired medication.

Whenever damage or deterioration to hull plating or structural members that may affect the seaworthiness of a vessel is discovered or suspected, the cognizant OCMI may conduct an internal structural examination in any affected space including fuel tanks, and may require the vessel to be drydocked or taken out of service to assess the extent of the damage, and to effect permanent repairs.
Vessel was involved in an incident leading to vessel sinking while moored.
Vessel is required to be inspected prior to carrying any passengers.

An inspection for renewal of a Certificate of Inspection is conducted to determine if the vessel is in satisfactory condition, fit for service intended and complies with all applicable regulations. At the renewal inspection the vessel was out of the water and inclement weather prohibited the testing of the following: drills, fire boy engine shut down and engine operations. Prior to placing the vessel back in service these items must be tested by an attending MI.
