The machinery, boilers and other pressure vessels, associated piping systems and fittings shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service for which they are intended and shall be so installed and protected as to persons onboard, due regard being paid to moving parts, hot surfaces and other hazards. The design shall have regard to materials used in construction, the purpose for watch the equipment is intended, the working conditions to watch it will be subjected and the enviromental conditions on board. PSCO observed leak alarm on generator No. 1 was being bypassed using a hose system was put back into normal operational conditions resulting leakage and triggering leak alarm. Reccomend repair of leak on generator No. 1 prior to movement. 74SOLAS(2009)II-1/26.1
