Towing vessels must be equipped with the following equipment, as applicable to the area of operation: (b) Search light, controllable from the vessel's operating station and capable of illuminating objects at a distance of at least two times the length of the tow. Port search light was inoperable, awaiting replacement parts.

Inspection found one missing type I lifejackets. Vessel is limited to nine (09) persons in addition to crew with a total persons allowed onboard of eleven (11).

A sufficient amount of lined commercial fire hose 15 meters (50 feet) in length, at least 40 mm (1.5 inches) in diameter and immediately available to attach to it so that a stream of water will reach any part of the vessel. Inspection found hose was 100ft in length. A hose of 50ft in length was onboard with the portable fire pump before the completion of the inspection.
