On 2JUL24 the barge INNOVATION allided with the Canadian National Railroad Swing Bridge's fendering system in Green Bay, WI. The barge's port notch wing made contact with the fender and no damage was reported. The contact on the barge occurred approximately 1 foot above the water line. While no damage or water ingress were reported a survey/inspection must still be done to verify reports. The barge may continue transit to Milwaukee, WI but may not depart the port of Milwaukee until a survey is conducted by the barge's classification society to ensure no damage exists. To clear this 835 a statement of fact or class report must be provided to the cognizant OCMI and the 835 must be cleared prior to departure.

Resolution: Received a statement and a servicing report from the Chief Engineer indicating the engine alarms and shutdowns operated properly. Additional equipment required included the installation of a gauge dry well and a oil pressure bleed down device.

Resolution: Received a statement from the Chief Engineer indicating the electrical connections were corrected by BSC Personnel. The connections and related wiring were contained in a convoluted sleeve and secured with the appropriate Stainless Steel Banding.

Demonstrate satisfactory operation from the # 1 and # 2 air receiver relief valve IAW 46 CFR 61.10-5. Due to vessels current piping configuration the vessel personnel were not able to develop the required pressure on the air receivers to adequately test the relief valves.
