Resolution: Crew tightened bolts on cylinder head which resolved the leak. Flag on board and verified resolution.
14108 The arrangement on board ship for the extraction of samples from the 15pp, bilge seperator discharge line to the 15ppm bilge alarm should give a true representative sample of the effluent with an adequate pressure and flow. PSCO observed a valve installed in the sample line, when closed, would allow the oil content meter to conitinue to operate while not receiving a truly representative sample, without alarm. Resolution: Valve on the oil content sample line has been removed.
14104 Oil filtering equipment referred to in paragraph 1 of this regulation shall be such as will ensure that any oily mixture dishcarged into the sea after passing through the system has an oil content not exceeding 15ppm. PSCO observed the oily water seperator for approximately 45 minutes and was unable to produce an effluent below 15ppm. MARPOL I/14.6.

Resolution: OWS has been overhauled and cleaned. On completion the function test was carried out under supervision of the attending surveryor and found satisfactory.
