No electrical equipment shall be installed in a space where flammable mixtures are liable to collect including those on board tankers unless the administration is satisfied that such equipment is: (.4) Appropriately certified for safe usage PSCO observed 03 lights in cargo pump room with exposed wiring at stuffing tubes. Additionally, PSCO observed exposed wires and improperly installed junction boxes on pressure vacuum valve heating system. Specifically on cargo tanks 1 and 2 stbd and 1 and 2 port. 74SOLAS(04) II-I/45.10 17AC
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 7 February 2025
Resolution: Electrician repaired lights in cargo pump room, exposed wires isolated, and panel was isolated and power supply disconnected. All the isolated areas were properly identified.

PSCO that when steering gear is operated locally in NFU on Aux. pump #2 that the pump reponds intermitently to helm controls. Attest to proper operation in all modes prior to movement.
