MPC 727 loaded with asphalt being pushed by ITV RUSTY ZELLER along with 3 empty barges experienced a generator fire and a loss of electrical power to its Thermal Fluid Heater (TFH)at mile 773 Ohio River. Crewmember(s) expended one (1) portable fire extinguisher into generator housing and extinguished fire. Power was ran from the MAP 703 and empty barge that was along side the MPC 727. A single portable fire extinguisher was renewed in-kind. (see IIA # 8273184)
