Fire Safety
The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials by having means to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed active fuel leaks on the incinerator as well as pooling of fuel oil under generators one and two.

1499-Other Prop Aux Machinery. Equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provision of the present regulations to ensure the ship remains fit to proceed to sea. PSCO's noted the grease unit cable was draped across the moving parts of the steering sytem.

0750 Fire Prevention. Doors require to be self closing shall not be fitted with a hold-back hooks. PSCO's noted the A Rated fire door between the Steering compartment and the engine room had hold back hooks installed that were not of the release fail type.
