Where cables which are installed in hazardous areas introduce the risk of fire or explosion the event of an electrical fault in such areas, special precautions against such risks shall be taken to the satisfaction of the administration. PSCO observed loose wiring for temperature sensor on cargo pump #1 bearing shaft, crew was able to satisfactorily fix loose wiring before PSCO departed vessel. 74 SOLAS (04) II-1/45.5.4

Resolution: Crew sealed electrical connector with putty and reinforced with electrical tape to ensure wire did not get knocked loose again.
