1730 - Oily Water Separating equipment - PSCO observed the electronic 3-way valve separating the f/w from the sample line was missing. Also, the power supply line for the valve was placed inside a breaker box next to the OWS. The installation diagram for the OWS and OCM showed that originally the 3-way valve was installed. - MARPOL I/11 and MARPOL I/14.

1740 - Oil discharge contr/mont system - The PSCO believes that there are clear grounds for believing that the master or crew are not familiar with essential shipboard procedures relating to the prevention of pollution by oil. MEPC.107(49). The Engineering Dept., was unaware that the OCM recorded the start and stop time of the OWS and was unable to retrieve data. - MARPOL I/6 MEPC.107(49).
