46 CFR 143.205: Machinery systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of person onboard under normal and emergency conditions. The vessel suffered a steering casualty after bumping bottom resulting in dame to the starboard rudder. The vessel is permitted to transit to a shipyard in Paducah, KY to make permanent repairs as per approved transit plan. Repairs are to be made to satisfaction of your Third Party Organization (TPO).
