The vessel failed to conduct annual maintenance of the fire detection system in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Complete annual servicing and provide report.

The tests required by this section must be recorded in accordance with part 140 of this subchapter: Alarm setpoints - twice every 5 years, with no more than 3 years elapsing since last test. Vessel was unable to show proper testing procedures for low lube oil and high cooling water temperature alarms on the main engines and generator. Develop testing procedures to test alarm setpoints and demonstrate operation of alarms with CG marine inspector in attendance.

Vessel is required to make appropriate repairs to the satisfaction of an attending Inspector and provide evidence of those repairs to the local OCMI. Vessel may only conduct movements necessary to affect those repairs.

The OWS installed on the vessel was not approved and was missing a calibrated 15ppm oil content meter (OCM).
