ALL LIFESAVING APPLIANCES AND ARRANGEMENTS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE. ALL LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCES PRESCRIBED IN THIS PART SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH PROPER WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS. LAGGING MATERIAL FROM THE LIFEBOAT ENGINE COVER WAS FOUND WASTED AND RESTING ON EXPOSED ENGINE PARTS SUBJECT TO HIGH HEAT, WHICH REPRESENTS A FIRE HAZARD DURING THE OPERATION OF THE LIFEBOAT ENGINE.
