Resolution: Insulation repaired.
The construction and arrangement of a vessel must allow the safe operations of the vessel in accordance with the terms of the COI giving consideration to provisions for a seaworthy hull, protections against fire, means of escape in case of sudden unexpected casualty, guards and rails in hazardous places, ventilation of enclosed spaces, and necessary facilities for passengers and crew. Vessel grounded in Ma'alaea Bay potentially suffering hull damage and damage to running gear (shafts, props, bearings, rudders, struts, mechanical equipment). Unknown damage to hull and running gear. Divers required to dive and video record potential damage before transit for emergency drydock. Internal damage survey required by CG inspector prior to transit for emergency drydock. Any temporary repairs must be authorized by Coast Guard Inspector. Tow/transit plan shall be provided prior to departure of Maui for emergency drydock to [name withheld] for approval. Once in Honolulu notify Sector Honolulu inspections and preform full damage assessment and make permanent repairs in accordance with approved plans. Vessel restricted from carring passengers until emergency drydock completed.
