A gastight bulkhead between the pumproom and the pump engine room may be pierced for drive shaft and pump engine control rods provided such openings are fitted with stuffing boxes or other approved gland arrangement.
Both port and starboard cargo pump room shaft vapor seals were deteriorated, worn, or torn to the point that vapor tightness was unable to be maintained. Vessel shall not conduct cargo operations until suitable replacement are in place and vapor tightness is resumed.
