The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. Upon arrival to port the vessel experienced a malfuntion with the bridge control to the main engine propulsion controls. The ECR control was also identified as inoperable. The local control to the propulsion system, EOT, and communication were tested by the crew and found to be operational. All control stations to the main engine should operate as designed. 74 SOLAS (14 Cons) CH I/Reg.11 40a/c
