The managing owner or managing operator of a towing vessel, who has selected the Coast Guard inspection option, must make their vessel available for the Coast Guard to conduct the examinations required by this subpart in accordance with the intervals prescribed in §137.300. The vessel failed to undergo a credit drydock and internal structure exam by the date listed on the COI. The vessel shall be made available for drydock and internal structure exam within 60 days. If an inspection is not completed prior to this date, the action for this deficiency shall be changed to a 60 (Rectify deficiencies prior to movement) and the vessel may no longer be permitted to operate.
