On CO2 tanks 12 and 13, the high pressure discharge hose attached to the CO2 manifold via a reducer, are severely corroded due to a condensation leak from the CO2 room's ventilation. The connection point has three dissimilar metals accelerating the corrosion. SOLAS 74 (con ed 09)

0615 - Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. While conducting the deck examination portion of the PSC exam the PSCO had the crew test their rescue boat engine, the crew was unable to start the engine after multiple attempts.
